SWIM is the second single off Honeybutter’s EP, Things That Bump at Night. SWIM is an anthem of bodily autonomy and reclamation — a playfully dark commentary on western colonial domination of the wild and the idea that women need to be “tamed”.


Oscillating through steady funk and shimmery dissonance, SWIM’s pulse creates a unifying sense of urgency. A single voice and a dry, biting synth ripple into waves of rolling harmonies, prowling drums, and a bass that steers you into the eye of the storm.
